Dr. Selvan Govender

Selvan graduated in 1999 from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.

He moved to the UK shortly thereafter and began a journey in restorative dentistry. His early years were spent working in the NHS where he developed a passion for dentistry through education.

Over 20 years he has completed many certificated training programs and went on to teach on several of these subjects. He has acquired certification and training in advanced restorative care, implant dentistry and Invisalign.

He has held various teaching posts including: Clinical teacher and examiner for final year dental students (Kings College), Postgraduate tutor to M ClinDent (FRP) program- (Kings College), Module Co-ordinator for MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry (Kings College) and most recently Specialty Dentist in the Restorative Dept at Royal London Dental School where he was responsible for supervising dental core trainees in restorative dentistry.

In his spare time, Selvan is a keen golfer and fisherman.

Dr. Mitul Patel

Mitul began his professional career as a teacher of biology and chemistry before he completed the accelerated dentistry programme at King’s College London; where he graduated with honours.

After completing Dental Foundation Training with the London deanery, he progressed to Dental Core Training at The Royal London Hospital where he performed complex endodontic treatment using rotary instruments and a surgical operating microscope. During this time Mitul was awarded for treatment of a complex multidisciplinary case.

Mitul completed a master’s degree in endodontics at the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute. He gained experience managing dental trauma, resorption, complex root canal anatomy, removing posts and separated instruments and carrying out vital pulp therapies. Mitul has a passion for endodontics and is dedicated to his patients.

Mitul manages complex endodontic problems at Dentoworld. He is also involved in delivering endodontic care and teaching at The Royal London Hospital. Your dentist may want to refer you to Mitul for management of endodontic problems.

Giuseppe Mainas

Giuseppe graduated in 2014 at the Alfonso X el Sabio University of Madrid. After one year working as a general dentist in Calabria (Italy), in 2015 he moved to Rome to frequent the Periodontology department of the G. Eastman Dental Hospital. There, he started treating periodontal patients and performed his first surgeries.

In 2017, he was accepted in the Master’s Degree in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) at the International University of Catalunya (Barcelona). Over those 3 full-time years, he carried out hundreds of interventions from non-surgical to surgical periodontal interventions including implant placement and advanced guided bone regeneration procedures.

In addition, he dedicated part of his time in conducting clinical research. After passing the EFP exam, he became a certified member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (Sidp). In June 2021, he started a PhD program in Periodontology at King’s College London (KCL).

Since 2024, he is part of the GDC Specialist List of Periodontology. He has been awarded the Osteology Research Academy Education grant in 2019, the MRC-IAA grant in 2023, the BSP Clinical Fellowship Award in 2023 and the BSP Research Grant in 2024. He is author and co-author of several scientific publications on Periodontology and Implantology, on national and international medical and dental journals.

Dr. Mohammed Dungarwalla

Mohammed qualified with honours from King’s College London Dental Institute. Following a year of dental foundation training, Mohammed undertook hospital posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Sussex and London. In 2018, Mohammed was appointed as a Specialist Registrar and Academic Clinical Fellow in Oral Surgery at Barts Health NHS Trust and Queen Mary University of London.

Mohammed is heavily involved in the teaching and training of dental undergraduates and postgraduates. His work has been published in several dental and surgical journals.
Mohammed’s practice is limited to oral surgery and provides complex dento-alveolar surgery including removal of impacted wisdom teeth and surgery related to orthodontic treatment. Mohammed is a registered specialist with the General Dental Council.

Ursula Grzegorczyk

Ursula graduated in 1998  from Medical University of Lublin, Poland, moved to England and started working in general dental practice in 2005.

She has interests in Orthodontics and the cosmetic side of Dentistry. Ursula  gained additional experience and training by working in the specialist  orthodontic practice, Orthoworld Colchester and by undertaking postgraduate studies at University of Warwick. She is an Invisalign provider and is currently in the process of completing MSc in Orthodontics.

Ursula is an enthusiastic, friendly dentist , providing  patients of any age with the best options available.  She  aims to meet their expectations by helping them achieve the smile they have always wanted.

Outside of work, Ursula enjoys travelling, skiing and spending time with family.

Dr Puneet Patel

Puneet qualified with Honours from King’s College London in 2007 and went on to gain further experience by undertaking Senior House Officer-training posts in Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Subsequently, he went on to successfully complete a 3-year specialist training programme in Periodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. Puneet graduated with Merit in his Master’s in clinical Dentistry (Periodontics) and successfully achieved his MPerio specialist qualification from the Royal College Surgeons Edinburgh.

Puneet is practicing as a specialist periodontist and implant dentist, who provides management of gum disease both surgically and non-surgically as well as the rehabilitation of the mouth by the replacement of missing teeth. He has experience in both soft and hard tissue grafting procedures and competency in all surgical aspects involved in dental management.

Tracy Ham

Dental Hygienist

GDC No 3854 Tracy trained as a Dental hygienist at Guy’s Dental Hospital, London and qualified in March 1990. Since then, Tracy has worked in private and NHS practices as well as a clinical assistant within the teaching hospital immediately following qualifying at Guy’s.

For the last fifteen years, Tracy has worked in a specialist referral practice limited to Periodontics and Implants and has over 20 years’ experience working in this specialist environment by treating and maintaining advanced periodontal conditions. Tracy is dedicated in the treatment and maintenance of patients with periodontal disease and particularly enjoys challenging and complex cases. Tracy has also acquired further training to carry out tooth whitening.

Beverly MacGregor

Beverly has 37 years’ experience in orthodontic and qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist in 2009 from Bristol Dental University. She gets great satisfaction in all aspects of her role, helping patients achieve a smile they are happy with.

Outside of work, Beverly enjoys outdoor pursuits such as cycling and kayaking, alongside jewellery-making and other craft projects. She has qualifications in: Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy RCSEd 2009.Dental Radiography 2013.

Georgina Gallehawk

Georgina qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2018 after studying with Colchester Institute. She has experience working in different parts of the dental industry from working in a general dental practice to working in a dental laboratory. Georgina has a particular interest in orthodontic nursing. 

The best part of her job is helping patients feel relaxed in a friendly dental environment and watching them grow in confidence.

Kerri Grace Tokely

Kerri’s dental nurse career started in 2009. She began working in general dentistry before moving onto working in Periodontology and Implantology. 

She has worked with a periodontal dentist for the past 10 years and really enjoys the surgical side to the treatment.

She finds it great to see how much we can change a patient’s life with the dental treatment we provide, whether it is from getting them out of pain, being able to help create a healthy mouth or giving them their confidence back by changing their appearance and smile. Elena Felicia Munteanu

Originally from Romania, Elena qualified as a dental nurse in 2009 in United Kingdom. She has been involved in restorative dentistry from the onset of her career. Elena joined Dr Govender’s team in June 2020.

Alongside general dentistry she provides nursing support to the hygienist, endodontist and surgical colleagues.
What she loves the most about her job is that we give patients confidence in their smiles through trust and professionalism. Elena has qualifications in: NVQ level 3 dental nursing 2009, Certificate in oral health promoter 2010 and Certificate in dental radiography 2018.

Laura Davidson

Laura has worked in reception/admin for 18 years and joined Orthoworld as a receptionist in January 2012, staying on in September 2020 when the practice became Dentoworld.

She loves forming good relationships with the patients as they achieve the results they are striving for; she finds it amazing to see their confidence (and smiles!) grow.

Having been primarily involved with orthodontics, she is now looking forward to working more in general dentistry as well and continuing to build up a good rapport with patients as they visit for help with their teeth, smiles and oral health.

In her spare time, she enjoys going to the theatre (especially the West End), and travelling, particularly discovering, and exploring different countries on cruises around the Mediterranean.
